Hannah’s Bananas Box 1 – Resilience

Our first official Hannah’s Bananas Box – Resilience delivers a maker kit, or diy kit, to your doorstep for you to create your own star lamp while providing a deep dive option for becoming part of a community connection. As we all have been doing our best during the Corona Virus quarantine, we want to take some time remind our customers of their inherent resilience by providing an illuminating cross-curricular art project for you to create at home. Originally designed to align with the 5th and 6th grade Massachusetts Visual Arts Standards, this art project kit builds on a Language Arts lesson plan published by Operation Respect, to explore the historical roots of the origins of the song “This Little Light of Mine.” At the same time, space is provided for customers to reflect on your own ability to shine as you create this project. Included in the kit:

• 1 digital pdf with links to online resources and an option to join an online maker community via Zoom event (email address must be provided to receive this item).
• 1 star lamp
• 1 cord with plug and on/off switch
• 1 light bulb
• Recommended supplies to have on hand while creating
